JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Jefferson City School District announced Friday two new hires to round out their leadership team for the district at the end of the school year.

Heather Beaulieu

Bryan McGraw has been hired as Deputy Superintendent to succeed the district’s current chief of learning, Shelby Scarbrough, who is planning to retire on June 30, 2021. Heather Beaulieu, the current principal at West Elementary, has been promoted to the position of assistant superintendent of elementary education in place of Lorie Rost, who is also retiring at the end of the school year.

“The time I have spent as superintendent at North Pocono in Pennsylvania has allowed me to lead a number of initiatives which have improved student results for the district and community,” Bryan McGraw said. “I am tremendously excited for this opportunity to bring my experience and track record of success to the Jefferson City School District. My wife and I have family ties to the area and to the district, and we are excited to begin our next chapter in the Jefferson City community.”

“I have greatly enjoyed my experience as a principal at West Elementary and it will be bittersweet to step away from a role that has allowed me to work with such wonderful students and staff members,” said Dr. Heather Beaulieu. “That said, the position of assistant superintendent of elementary education will allow me an incredible opportunity to lead our elementary efforts across the district.”
