Officials say the state does not track probable or pending deaths.

Audrain County announces make-up date for 2nd dose vaccination

A makeup date and a new location for the 2nd dose Pfizer vaccine in Audrain County has been identified.

The new date will be this Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. indoors at the Mexico Area Family YMCA, located at 1127 Adams Street in Mexico.

“Our team identified that having a walk-thru clinic instead of a drive-thru one in February would be advantageous to everyone involved,” ACHD Administrator/CEO Craig Brace said. “Through our partnership with the various entities in Mexico and Audrain County, the YMCA was immediately identified as a possible site and, following a walk-through last week with , and talks with Executive Director Lori Brandow, it was decided this would be the best option. We are grateful for the support we have gotten from everyone at the YMCA for helping to make this event a reality.”

“We believe the set-up of having second-dose participants show up by their last names at certain hours of the clinic will transition well to the walk-thru clinic,” Brace said. “We do ask those participants to not show up for their shot until the time the chart indicates by the first letter of their last names. Please, no early or late arrivals.”

If there are multiple people in a vehicle with different last names, Brace says to choose one of the last names and show up at the time prescribed. Here is the chart for the times and first letters of last names residents should follow:

  • 8:00 a.m. arrival – Those with last names beginning with A
  • 8:30 a.m. arrival – Those with the last names beginning with B
  • 9:00 a.m. arrival – Those with the last names beginning with C
  • 9:30 a.m. arrival – Those with the last names beginning with D
  • 10:00 a.m. arrival – Those with last names beginning with E through F
  • 10:30 a.m. arrival – Those with last names beginning with G
  • 11:00 a.m. arrival – Those with last names beginning with H through I
  • 11:30 a.m. arrival – Those with last names beginning with J through K
  • 12:00 p.m. arrival – Those with last names beginning with L through M
  • 12:30 p.m. arrival – Those with last names beginning with N through O
  • 1:00 p.m. arrival – Those with last names beginning with P through Q
  • 1:30 p.m. arrival – Those with last names beginning with R through S
  • 2:00 p.m. arrival – Those with last names beginning with T
  • 2:30 p.m. arrival – Those with last names beginning with U through V
  • 3:00 p.m. arrival – Those with last names beginning with W through Z

No pre-registration for those receiving the second dose is required for this event.

Also, this clinic is only for those who received their first dose at the Mexico Memorial Airport on Friday, January 29th, the Audrain County Health Department the evening of Friday, January 29th or at the mini-clinic held at the Presser Arts Center on Tuesday, February 2nd.
