SUNDAY UPDATES: Number of deaths from COVID-19 in Missouri rises

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

COVID-19 case numbers might differ among state and local health authorities because of issues with reporting and address verification.

UPDATE 6:37 P.M.: The number of people who have died from COVID-19 in the state of Missouri has increased to 34.

That is up 10 from 24 Saturday.

The Department of Health and Senior Services reports there are 2,367 cases of COVID-19 in the state.

More than 27,000 patients have been tested for the virus in Missouri so far.

UPDATE 3:19 P.M.: The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Boone County remains at 69.

The number of people who have recovered from the virus, however, has increased to 41. That number increased from 36 people who had recovered as of Saturday night.

The number of active cases in Boone County is 27.
