SATURDAY UPDATES: Cole County confirms 31 cases of COVID-19
UPDATE 8:25 P.M.: The Cole County Health Department has confirmed 31 cases of COVID-19 in the county.
Cole County has 18 active cases.
Twelve people have recovered from the virus, but one person has died.
UPDATE 6:22 P.M.: The Moniteau County Health Center has confirmed the third and fourth cases of COVID-19 in the county.
According to the health center, the individuals are in their 30s and 50s.
One case is travel-related and the other is considered community spread.
The county currently has two recovered cases and two active cases.
UPDATE 5:20 P.M.: The Callaway County Health Department announced Saturday at least 18 people in the county have tested positive for COVID-19.
County health officials said there are seven active cases. As of Saturday, 11 people in Callaway County have recovered from coronavirus.
The county confirmed one additional case of novel coronavirus since Friday.
UPDATE 2:21 P.M.: The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services said Tuesday afternoon at least 2,291 people have tested positive for COVID-19 around the state.
State health officials say 178 more people have tested positive for novel coronavirus since Friday, April 3.
It's the smallest day-to-day statewide increase reported since Monday, March 31.
The state health department website said there are 75 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Boone County and more than 300 confirmed cases across the Kansas City area.
Gov. Mike Parson is scheduled to hold a daily COVID-19 briefing at 3 p.m. ABC 17 will livestream the news conference and air it live on TV.
UPDATE 12:36 p.m.: Cole County is reporting 30 cases of COVID-19 Saturday afternoon.
The county health department reports there are 19 active cases.
Ten people have recovered from the virus in Cole County, but one person has died.
UPDATE 11:10 a.m.: Lincoln University announced it is extending its campus closure after the statewide "Stay Home Missouri" order.
Lincoln University will now remain closed through April 26. All work will be done remotely, except for essential business.
UPDATE 11:00 a.m.: The state of Missouri said it is working to recruit all medical professionals that are not part of the current workforce.
According to a news release from the office of Governor Mike Parson, the state is creating a critical reserve unit to focus on providing care in areas of high need. The medical professionals would be part of the Missouri Disaster Medical Assistance Team (MO DMAT-1).

According to the release, health care students or graduates, retirees and professionals whose registration recently expired can apply.
So far, the unit has deployed to Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton and Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
ORIGINAL: Boone Hospital Center tested 38 more individuals for COVID-19 Friday.
According to officials at Boone Hospital Center, this brings the total number of tests at the hospital to 785. Of those tests, 534 were at the mobile drive-thru testing site.
