Man suffered deadly medical event before crash in Miller County

MILLER COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Jan. 28 update:

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has updated its report after a crash in Miller County earlier this week.

Troopers said Roger G. Heckemeyer, 61, of St. Elizabeth, died from a medical event before the crash on Boeckman Bridge Road on Monday afternoon. According to the crash report, Heckemeyer's pickup truck went off of the side of the road and hit a fence after the event.

Nobody else was hurt in the crash.

A St. Elizabeth man was killed on Monday afternoon after a crash in Miller County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 5:50 p.m. on Boeckman Bridge Road north of Pioneer Road.

Troopers said Roger G. Heckemeyer, 61, drove a pickup truck off of the side of the road and hit a fence. The Miller County Coroner pronounced Heckemeyer dead at the scene.

According to the crash report, Heckemeyer wasn't wearing a seat belt.
