University of Missouri: Person with a knife in East Campus

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

University of Missouri officials say a person with a knife was seen Monday afternoon in East Campus.

MU Alert: Threatening person with knife at Lee St and Wilson Ave. Evacuate and stay away from area. Police are responding. Update to follow.

An MU Alert sent out just before 2 p.m. said the person was seen near the intersection of Lee Street and Wilson Avenue.

MU Alert Update: ALL CLEAR. Subject with knife taken into custody on Rosemary Street. Campus back to normal conditions.

A second tweet sent out at 2:01 p.m. said the person was taken into custody on Rosemary Street and that campus has returned to normal conditions.
