Chanel Porter

Chanel joined ABC 17 News in January 2021 as a MMJ and in June 2021 was promoted to be the weekend evening anchor.

In May 2022 Chanel joined the sports team at a sports reporter/anchor.

She is from Cumberland, Maryland.

Chanel attended Penn State University Fayette for two years, competing in both volleyball and softball. She then went on to Penn State University for the rest of her college education, where she was a field reporter for Penn State News and a reporter/anchor for the Centre County Report.

Chanel interned at WPSU in sports production. She graduated cum laude and received a certificate from the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism. She now reports news and sports and anchors on weekends for ABC 17 News.

When she isn't reporting, Chanel enjoys traveling, going to the gym, and watching football.
