Human remains found in rural area west of Boonville

BOONVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)

Cooper County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of possible human remains in a rural area west of Boonville.

Once on scene, deputies confirmed were the remains were human.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol Divison of Drug and Crime Control and the Cooper County Coroner's Office were requested to assist with processing of the scene.

No identification can be made at this time.
